There has been inadequate development of Christian literature resources and distribution for the French language and the French church suffers greatly from it.

"For 2003, the Association of American Publishers reports sales of $338 million of religious books in the United States. Less than 10 books suitable for Bible software are published by French evangelicals in a given year."

There are literally millions of books available to the English-speaking church. In our information age, Christian publishers are now providing thousands of English Bibles and reference books in Bible software programs.

Where Christian publishers for the English language have been prolific, the French Christian publishing world has not. The divide between the amount of materials available in the two languages is great. Christian literature is available in every field and for all subjects in English, however there is a lack of materials in French. If the body is not properly nourished it will be weak and prone to illness.

There are only a handful of strong Christian publishers in the French-speaking world, so the number of works to transfer to into electronic format is limited. Editions Clé has been concentrating on the development of electronic resources, but the building process has been slow in comparison to the United States.

Would you consider helping to bring needed Christian literature resources to the French-speaker of the world?

"Supply of Christian literature is hindered in the places of greatest need because of poverty, difficulty of distribution, cost of printing, using expensive materials from the West and rampant inflation."
